The KEEP+ programme has been running for just over a year and we are delighted to have funded a wealth of businesses looking for an academic partnership to development their innovative new product or service. Most of these grants are for knowledge exchange activities, a three way partnership between a business, a university and a talented graduate working directly with the company.
In addition to revenue funding for knowledge exchange collaborations, KEEP+ can now offer 50% match funded grants to contribute toward equipment and fast track consultancy support, providing vital technological input to a project. These grants are ideal for businesses for whom a knowledge exchange partnership might not be required initially, but a shorter term consultancy engagement or a specialist piece of equipment would propel their innovation to the next stage of its development. In some cases an equipment or consultancy grant could provide a stepping stone to future a knowledge exchange collaboration.
All purchases or consultancy input must provide a significant technological contribution to the development of a new product, process or service. Unfortunately, non-specialist items/support such as company vehicles, furniture, standard software, generic training etc. does not qualify for this particular funding programme.
If you are an innovative SME looking to grow your business and looking for funding to purchase a piece of equipment or 3rd party expertise, contact the KEEP+ team or one of our delivery partners to find out if you are eligible for a KEEP+ grant.
